Immigration & Asylum

The Immigration Team at Drystone Chambers offers a specialist and sensitive service to clients. We understand that negotiating the challenges of immigration law can be daunting, especially for clients with English as a second language. Careful and thorough preparation coupled with our commitment to human rights mean that clients feel supported throughout their case.

Drystone Chambers provides advice and representation in all aspects of immigration law including asylum, deportation, applications under the EEA Regulations and applications under the points based system. We appear regularly in the First Tier and the Upper Tier Immigration Tribunals but where possible aim to help clients avoid the costs of litigation by advising on the form and content of immigration applications.

Our strong public law background means that we have particular skill in judicial review applications and are available for emergency or out of hours applications. We also have a genuine understanding of the interrelationship between immigration and extradition law so that concurrent cases can be litigated to maximise our clients’ advantage.

Members have particular expertise in advising on business applications and can work closely with client companies and their staff to assist in the smooth progress of immigration applications.
