
Gordana Turudija-Austin

Gordana joined Drystone Chambers in May 2020 from Reeds Chambers, Oxford where she had spent five years building her defence practice in general crime. Prior to that, Gordana worked for the Crown Prosecution Service where ,as a member of the prosecution team, she gained many years of experience in dealing with cases at all levels of complexity, including murder, drug trafficking and child sex abuse cases.
She is known for her calm manner and her keen eye for detail which she utilises to the benefit of her clients in the careful and skilful presentation of their case to the Court. Her experience of working for both prosecution and defence provides her with an insight into the way that criminal cases are brought, which she is able to utilise for the provision of both sound and strategic advice.
Gordana is known as a compassionate advocate, who fights for her clients and creates a strong relationship of trust with her clients.
She has also successfully appeared before the Court of Appeal on a number of occasions.
She accepts instructions in a variety of cases including violence and dishonesty matters, robbery, drugs and sexual offences.
