R v Bushnell - one of the first cases at a pilot court (Kingston Upon Thames) to trial pre-recorded cross examination. As Defence counsel Nick had to preserve his independence from over-eager judicial interference.

R v Rajinder Singh – prosecution of a Sikh granthi (priest) at a Gurdwara for sexual assault on a 9 year old girl when she attended to wrship with her family. Convicted.

R v Gordon - represented the man accused of being the Scottish end of a cocaine supply chain starting in Liverpool.

R v Zauka – defence of a man accused of battering to death a friend while under the influence of alcohol taken immediately after his wife's sudden and unexpected death.
