Drystone barristers act for both prosecution and defence in ‘Fareham flat’ murder case

A murder case concluded at Winchester Crown Court recently where Matthew Jewell QC led the prosecution and Robert Bryan (led by William Mousley of 2 King’s Bench Walk) acted for the defence. Teenager Luke Pearce delivered a "brutal, violent and sustained attack" on a man who was said to have suffered from mental ill health. The victim, Michael Deary, was found dead from five stab wounds at his flat in Fareham, Hampshire in August last year. Pearce was sent to jail for 17 years after admitting the murder.
