Drystone Chambers warmly welcomes Lidia Iancu as our new pupil

7 November 2022

We are delighted to welcome Lidia Iancu who started her pupillage with us today, 7th November 2022.

Prior to commencing pupillage, Lidia worked for over 4 years as a Legal Adviser in the Magistrates’ Court where she gained considerable experience of the trial process from the initiation of cases through to the conclusion. Her role included assisting unrepresented defendants by conducting the cross-examination of prosecution witnesses, and the examination-in-chief of defence witnesses. Prior to this Lidia worked as a Probation Service Officer in the Magistrates’ Court where she developed and perfected her skills interviewing vulnerable defendants, often involving those suffering with severe mental health difficulties and from substance misuse. She delivered as many as 4 on the day pre-sentence reports and proved her competence working in stressful and fast-paced working environments and dealing successfully with challenging situations.

We are thrilled to welcome Lidia to the Drystone family.
