1 August 2022

The Members of Chambers and staff at Drystone Chambers are delighted to welcome Kennie Stephens as a Member of Chambers following her third-six pupillage here.

Kennie, who joined Chambers from 2 Hare Court, was called to the Bar in 2015 and undertook her pupillage at the Crown Prosecution Service. Since practising from Drystone Chambers, Kennie has demonstrated herself to be a highly able and composed advocate who is extremely popular with both professional and lay clients.

Prior to coming to the Bar, Kennie worked at HMRC as a Paralegal working in the strategic litigation team on high profile, complex tax avoidance cases. She also worked at the London Borough of Camden on housing litigation (antisocial behaviour cases and possession proceedings). Furthermore, Kennie worked at Surrey Police as an Intelligence Analyst.

Kennie brings a diversity of experience to Chambers adding further strength and depth to our experienced team.

Allison Summers QC, Head of Chambers, said: “At a very difficult time for junior members of the Criminal Bar, Kennie has demonstrated real commitment to the profession and to Chambers. We are delighted to welcome her to Drystone as a tenant and look forward to supporting her as she progresses in her career”.
