Stephen Donnelly, Rebecca Penfold & James Gray in Modern Slavery Act trial

Stephen Donnelly, leading Rebecca Penfold, and James Gray (all instructed by Giles Hayes at Evans Hayes Burnell) will next week commence a trial at Stafford Crown Court in which they represent members of a family of Travellers indicted on offences under the Modern Slavery Act 2015. The trial, which is expected to last 8 weeks, will focus on allegations spanning two years and relates to the employment and treatment of an individual with learning difficulties.
