Allison Summers K.C. speaks at the British Sleep Society’s annual conference in Brighton

Allison Summers K.C. was a guest speaker at the British Sleep Society’s annual conference in Brighton on 7 November 2025 hosted at the DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole. Allison addressed an audience from all medical disciplines on the topic of parasomnia and the law. 

BSS Sleep 2025 is the UK’s largest multidisciplinary sleep conference, covering clinical sleep medicine, cutting-edge research, and the public health aspects of sleep. This flagship event brings together professionals from across sleep science and medicine — including established scientists and clinicians, as well as those at earlier stages in their careers.

Sessions were hosted by both the British Paediatric Sleep Society (BPSS) and the British Society of Dental Sleep Medicine (BSDSM).

Allison Summers K.C. appeared in the 2022 BBC documentary Sexsomnia: Case Closed? which looked at some of the legal issues relating to prosecuting and defending cases when sexsomnia was raised.
