Drystone Chambers is a friendly and progressive specialist set of criminal barristers in London, supported by an experienced and motivated team of clerks and administrative professionals.
Collectively we are respected within the legal profession for consistently delivering outstanding levels of service. As we continue to develop, we seek like-minded barristers and staff with a commitment to exceptional service, openness, diversity and inclusion.
We take pride in being an equal opportunities organisation and are committed to diversity amongst our people which is evidenced in our policies and procedures and by how we conduct ourselves.
We are committed to the implementation and promotion of equal opportunities and ensuring an absence of direct or indirect discrimination on grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.
We accept applications for tenancy at all levels of call at any time and encourage applications from outstanding practitioners from all backgrounds who are ambitious, forward thinking and fully committed to succeeding at the Criminal Bar.
When we have an opportunity within our staffing team, we will post details on our website and advertise via our social media channels and possibly via a recruitment agency.
Chambers is committed to equality and diversity at the Bar, creating an organisation which reflects the diversity of the communities we serve, prevents unlawful discrimination and harassment, ensures equality of opportunity, promotes and celebrates diversity and fosters an inclusive culture for all our people.
Chambers welcomes applications for third-six pupillage from competent practitioners committed to the criminal bar and we always recruit with a view to tenancy. We aspire our third-six pupils to flourish and succeed and we provide every opportunity for that to happen.
Drystone Chambers welcomes the opportunity to give aspiring criminal barristers the opportunity to spend a week’s mini-pupillage with us shadowing elite criminal advocates and learning what ‘real life’ at the criminal bar really looks like.
Drystone Chambers is proud to be an accredited Living Wage Employer. This is a voluntary agreement to pay a real and fair living wage rather than the statutory minimum wage or national living wage. We believe our people deserve a wage which meets every day needs and we reward them for their hard work.
