Andrew Price and Kenniesha Stephens speaking at the Tenancy Fraud Forum conference on 15th May 2024

Drystone Chambers team, Andrew Price and Kenniesha Stephens will be speaking at the Tenancy Fraud Forum Conference on 15th May at the Kensington Conference and Events Centre. Their presentation, ‘It’s a Fair Cop Guv’ – Criminal Prosecutions under PoSHFA, takes place between 1.35pm – 2.20pm.

We are presenting at the Tenancy Fraud Forum, the purpose of which is for social landlords to work together in order to combat tenancy fraud.  

Our presentation is to inform Fraud Investigators, in-house Solicitors, Housing Officers and Housing Managers employed by Housing Associations how they can best utilise the Prevention of Social Housing Fraud Act 2013 to prosecute those tenants sub-letting their social housing premises illegally. The presentation will focus on understanding the law, the types of evidence required, and the procedure and process of bringing a private prosecution.
