Richard Willicombe Cert BA

With more than 30 years of experience in Barristers’ Chambers, Richard Willicombe joined Drystone Chambers in 2015, bringing extensive industry knowledge and a strong commitment to excellence.  He began his career as a Barristers’ Clerk, progressing from Junior Clerk to overseeing Diary Management before moving into billing and fee administration before progressing into management.

Richard’s enthusiasm, attention to detail and proactive approach quickly distinguished him in this area, leading naturally into a finance-focused role.  He has since developed extensive knowledge of Chambers finance and accounting practices.  In 2025, he successfully completed the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting, further strengthening his professional credentials and now serves as Finance Manager, overseeing all financial operations within Chambers.

As the principal point of contact for finance-related matters, Richard is known for his approachable manner, professionalism, and dedication to supporting both members of Chambers and staff. Alongside his wider financial responsibilities, he remains actively involved in billing administration and is always happy to assist with fee and billing enquiries.

Qualification: CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting (2025)
