Dr Hannah Quirk



Dr Hannah Quirk is Reader in Criminal Law at King’s College London. Her research interest in miscarriages of justice builds upon her previous work at the Criminal Cases Review Commission.

Hannah authored The Rise and Fall of the Right of Silence, and co- edited Criminalising Contagion and Regulation and Criminal Justice.

An Academic Fellow of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, Hannah sits on the editorial boards of The Criminal Law Review and The Wrongful Conviction Law Review.  She is also a trustee of Transform Justice and the Sentencing Academy.  She regularly appears in the media discussing topical criminal justice issues.

She is also an organiser of the Drystone Chambers/KCL Future of Legal Practice Perspectives on Correcting Miscarriages of Justice Symposia.
