A retired nurse, who was charged with allegations of neglect as a care provider, alternatively under the Health and Safety at Work Act, was acquitted by a Crown Court Judge today upon the Crown offering no evidence against her. Others accused are due to stand trial next year.
The allegations she faced concerned the deaths of a number of elderly persons in 2016 and 2017. John McNally, instructed by Messrs. Wilkin Chapman, and Edward Fail Bradshaw Waterson, argued the allegations made against the former nurse could not succeed in fact, or law. After a series of hearings, the Crown offered no further evidence, and she was acquitted.
