What a great day today has been exhibiting at the Bar Council’s Pupillage Fair in London. Our brilliant team of inspiring and supportive volunteers had so many interesting conversations with so many aspiring criminal barristers they have almost lost their voices!

Thank you so much to all the amazing students who took the time out of their day to visit our stand to learn about our chambers and our pupillage and mini-pupillage applications processes. The advice and tips given by our volunteer barristers and staff will put you in good stead along your journey.

Best of luck on the road ahead!

We were particularly delighted to receive such positive and complimentary feedback about our unique banner stands, which featured inspirational and informative short-stories via QR codes, from our former pupils now tenants outlining their individual journeys and experiences applying for, and going through pupillage, with the aim of providing valuable advice and tips for aspiring barristers on their individual journeys.

These short-stories, which are truly inspiring and informative, can be found below:

A black woman’s inspiring journey to success at the criminal bar – Kenniesha Stephens
Pupillage applications – what I wish I knew – Ross Ludlow
Reality of pupillage at the criminal bar – Alex Shanks
My criminal pupillage experience at Drystone Chambers – Sophie Clifford
A career changer’s journey to pupillage – Eliza Harris (pupil)

We would like to say a big thank you to our team of industrious volunteers:

Claire Howell
Kenniesha Stephens
Lidia Iancu
