Adam joins Chambers as a third-six pupil from the Crown Prosecution Service having completed his pupillage with the CPS and qualifying as a Crown Advocate.

As a Crown Advocate, Adam regularly appeared in the Crown Court and prosecuted all types of hearings in the Magistrates’ Court including remand courts and trial courts. Trials prosecuted include sexual assault, domestic abuse with res gestae and hearsay legal arguments, and possession of weapons in public spaces. He also provided written advice on an unsuccessful prosecution and drafted amendments to both CPS and police policies.

Whilst studying for his law degree, Adam worked as a Legal Researcher for a barrister specialising in prison law, criminal appeals and public administrative law with a particular focus on cases involving civil liberties. He also volunteered for a suicide helpline supporting individuals in mental health crisis.

Adam is a grade 1 prosecutor and prosecutes and defends across the Western Circuit and beyond. He is keen to develop a practice in regulatory law, professional discipline and court martial proceedings. During his second six, he was seconded to the Service Prosecuting Authority.  Alongside his day job, Adam serves in the British Army Reserves, so he has an understanding about the unique challenges of military life.

Defending autistic client charged with stalking with fear of violence in a domestic context.


R v E [2025] Winchester Crown Court

Prosecution of threatening with an offensive weapon (bread knife) in a private place and assault by beating arising in a domestic context. A successful res gestae application was made to admit the 999 call and body worn footage despite the complainant writing to the court saying her allegations were false.


R v P [2024] Winchester Crown Court

Successfully defended a client charged with dwelling burglary by stealing £9,000 worth of watches and cash.

Prosecution of appeal against conviction of assault occasioning actual bodily harm on a psychiatric ward.

Prosecution of affray and assault occasioning actual bodily harm against a prison officer in Portland Young Offenders Institution.


R v P [2024] Portsmouth Crown Court

Prosecution of three charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm during consensual BDSM between a vulnerable, young same-sex couple.

Notable Sexual Offences cases


R v H [2025] Southampton Crown Court

Prosecution of attempted sexual communications with a child and causing/ inciting a child to engage in sexual activity. The defendant was communicating with a decoy profile operated by an undercover police officer.


R v R [2024] Winchester Crown Court

Prosecution of attempted sexual communications with a child. The defendant was identified by a vigilante organisation operating a decoy profile.


R v W [2024] Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court

Prosecution of domestic sexual assault, battery and common assault trial. The Crown’s case involved calling the seventeen-year-old son of the complainant who suffered with autism to give evidence.


R v S [2024] Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court

Prosecution of a stranger sexual assault of a mother as she fastened her son’s seatbelt in a pre-school car park. The Defendant was a convicted sex offender and was seen acting suspiciously around the pre-school before the incident.

Adam has completed training to present cases on behalf of the the Nursing and Midwifery Council for fraudulent entry, interim orders, substantive order reviews and substantive hearings.
