R v DG [2026] St Albans Magistrates Court

Ella opposed the Crown’s res gestae application to adduce 999 call on the morning of trial, successfully arguing that the evidence should be excluded under s78 PACE. The Crown subsequently offered no evidence and the case was dismissed.

R v KD [2026] Croydon Magistrates Court

Representing a young and vulnerable repeat offender for possession of a bladed article, Ella successfully raised an exceptional circumstances argument, and the court departed from the mandatory minimum sentence.

R v SW [2026] Uxbridge Magistrates Court

Representing a defendant charged with assaulting an emergency worker, Ella made both written and oral representations to the Crown, leading to the Crown discontinuing the case on the morning of trial.

R v EL [2026] Bromley Magistrates Court

Representing a vulnerable defendant with additional needs at trial, Ella extensively argued for reasonable adjustments to be made for when the defendant was giving evidence, in the absence of an intermediary. The defendant was acquitted.
