Prior to coming to the Bar, Lily worked professionally as an actor in film, television, and theatre. Whilst studying law, she volunteered as a case worker with the Intervene Project; a charity which provides free legal representation to prisoners. Lily worked on a broad range of cases involving claims of mistreatment suffered whilst serving custodial sentences and built considerable experience in dealing with vulnerable clients suffering from complex physical and mental health conditions.
Lily completed the Bar Practice Course at The University of Law as a Dean’s Award scholar, achieving High Distinction. Prior to commencing pupillage, she assisted counsel on a complex fraud trial for a London criminal defence firm.
