Duncan O’Donnell


Duncan O’Donnell undertakes all aspects of serious crime (including murder, fraud, serious drugs offences and organised crime), both for prosecution and defence and has appeared as leading junior. He advises on disclosure of sensitive material and public interest immunity applications.

He is a designated rape prosecutor and a preferred prosecutor in cases of domestic violence in Cambridgeshire.

He practices mainly in Norwich, Cambridge, Peterborough and Ipswich.

Between 2008 and 2013 Duncan O’Donnell sat on the Government’s Advisory Committee for the Protection of Historic Wreck sites (advising on legal enforcement).

Other information

Prior to his call to the bar, Duncan O’Donnell was employed by Bonhams auctioneers, specialising in antiquities and militaria. He is a qualified scuba diver.
