Sean Minihan being led by Sarah Forshaw KC and instructed by Michael Range of ACA Law, secure the acquittal of Melvis Mariano upon a charge of murder at the Central Criminal Court.

Trial History

It was at the third trial that the acquittal came. The first trial which ended in November 2023 with a hung jury. The second trial ended in November 2024 with the discharge of the jury following legal argument.

Final Outcome

The third trial ended in July of this year with the acquittal.

Case Background

This was a gang murder which involved the stabbing of a rival gang member on a ride out into another’s turf. Michael Lebbie was convicted of murder during the first trial and Abby Lowne was acquitted of assisting an offender in the third trial.
