Teenagers convicted after revenge attack in Weymouth

Robert Bryan prosecuted two teenagers for the attempted murder and the wounding with intent of two young male victims. The two defendants, who had been involved in an altercation outside a club in Weymouth, returned to their lodgings and deliberately armed themselves with a knife. They returned to the club looking for revenge but happened upon a wholly innocent group. In what appears to have been mistaken identity they attacked the group stabbing the two victims, leaving one with life changing injuries.

Sentencing

Whilst the main defendant was acquitted of the attempted murder of the first victim, both defendants were convicted of wounding with intent of the two victims and were sentenced to 12 years and 10 years respectively at Winchester Crown Court.
